
Eslington achieved the Attachment and Trauma Sensitive Schools Award (ATSSA) at Bronze Level in February 2023. This award is an external sign of recognition for our commitment to the steps staff have taken to develop a culture of compassion and nurture. This plays a pivotal role in getting our pupils into a state of ‘learning readiness’.
Eslington successfully achieved the Gateshead Schools Health and Wellbeing SILVER Award in March 2022. This award recognises the commitment the Senior Leadership Team and whole staff team have towards developing and enhancing health and wellbeing within the Eslington community.


Eslington Primary School has met the standard for UNICEF UK’s Rights Respecting Award at Gold level in November 2022. The UNICEF values are woven through every strand of our curriculum as we see this as a priority in today’s world. Putting children’s rights at the heart of our school.
Eslington Primary School achieved the Eco Schools Green Flag at Distinction level in June 2022. The children and staff at Eslington work together to help protect the environment and the schools’ surroundings. Every year our Eco Warriors work together on new projects and initiatives in the hope that they become strong and independent citizens of the future.


Eslington Primary School achieved Gold School Sports Games in July 2023. The staff at Eslington aim to keep competitive sport at the heart of our school and provide pupils with the opportunity to compete and achieve their personal best in a variety of sporting activities.
